This describes exactly what Dash Duel stores, why, and how to get rid of it. It was written from the database schema rather than from a template, so it says what the game actually does.

The short version

What is stored, and why

DataWhy
A random device identifierSo the game recognises this browser on your next visit and gives you back your coins and items. It is generated randomly on your device — it is not a hardware ID and not a fingerprint.
Your display nameShown to your opponent and on leaderboards. You choose it; if you do not, one is generated.
Race recordsYour score, distance, coins, crashes and near misses for each race, with the time it happened. Used for your history, your rating, and leaderboards.
Your inputs during a raceThe sequence of swipes you made. Replayed on our server to confirm a score is genuine — this is how cheating is detected. It is the most detailed thing stored about you.
Coins and itemsWhat you have earned, spent and equipped.
Apple or Google sign-in (optional)If you choose to sign in, an opaque identifier from that provider is stored so you can use the same account on another device. No email address, name or profile is requested or stored.
IP addressesPresent in ordinary server logs, as with any website. Used to operate and debug the service. Logs rotate automatically and are not kept long-term or linked to your account.

What stays on your device and is never sent

Your settings — motion, contrast, tap zones, HUD size, text size, sound, chosen race length and opponent — are stored in your browser only. Your best solo scores are stored in your browser only. None of it reaches our servers.

What is not collected

No email address. No password. No phone number. No location or GPS. No contacts. No advertising identifier. No behavioural profile. No cookies for tracking — the game uses browser local storage purely to remember your settings and keep you signed in. There are no third-party scripts on the page at all.

Who it is shared with

Nobody. Your data is not sold, rented, or shared with advertisers, analytics providers or data brokers. It is stored on servers operated by [YOUR HOSTING PROVIDER] in [REGION].

Your display name and score are visible to other players on leaderboards and to your opponent during a race. That is the only thing anyone else sees.

How long it is kept

Your account and its data are kept until you delete them. Race records are kept as part of your history and the leaderboards. Server logs rotate automatically within days.

Deleting everything

Open Settings in the game and choose Delete account. This immediately and permanently removes your player record, display name, device identifier, sign-in link, statistics, race history, stored inputs, coins, and items, and removes you from all leaderboards.

It cannot be undone, and there is no recovery period. Races you played against other people remain in their history, but you are no longer named in them.

If you cannot access the game, email [CONTACT EMAIL].

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your data, and to object to its processing. Deletion is built into the game. For anything else, contact [CONTACT EMAIL] and we will respond within 30 days.

Children

Dash Duel is designed to be playable by young children and collects no more from them than from anyone else: no email, no advertising, no trackers, no chat or free-text messaging of any kind.

The game does not currently ask for a date of birth, so it does not knowingly identify which players are children. If you are a parent or guardian and want your child's data removed, use Delete account in Settings or email [CONTACT EMAIL], and it will be erased.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the updated date above will change and the new version will be shown in the game.
